Every Adams Rite 1851 style dead bolt should have the extra security of a MS4002 Armored Strike installed in the door frame. Installation is easy with the HIT-40AR2 because it is designed to self center on a single center hung door frame. Two layout lines on the templaste will locate the proper placement of the strike for both standaed and hook bolt locks. Simply fasten the HIT-40AR2 to the jamb with two self-drilling screws (supplied) then with your router, route out the opening. After removing the HIT-40AR2 from the door frame, the two screw mounting holes are drilled out to become the strike mounting holes. Install the face plate and the job is complete. Requires the use of a router with a 3/8" outside diameter template guide and a 1/4" diameter router bit. (Part # for our router bit HIT-45RB4.)
