Latching mechanism is spring-loaded. May be used for sliding doors or chest lids. Three-lever lock - six different key combinations.  Brass plated faceplate is barely 9/16" x 3-9/16" (14mm x 90mm). Brass strike included is 5/8" x 3-1/8" (17mm x 80mm).  Locating pin offers extra security against "jimmying" the lock open. For doors, specify RH or LH.
